Common questions
Who is Postmello for?
Postmello is a quiet place for kids to write and send handwritten digital letters to friends and family. Every contact is approved before letters can be exchanged. It is coming first to iPad.
How do I add or approve a contact?
Open the Admin area inside the app (the Postmello Key) to invite, approve, or remove contacts. Letters can only travel between contacts that have been approved on both sides.
Can my child write to someone who hasn’t been approved?
No. Letters travel only between approved contacts, and that rule is enforced by our server as a letter is sent rather than only by the interface - so unapproved mail, incoming or outgoing, cannot be created. There is also no way for a stranger to find or write to a child. Safety by design explains the whole picture.
How do I delete my account or a letter?
You can remove letters from inside the app. To delete the whole account, open the admin area, go to Settings and choose Delete Account. It is scheduled for deletion 30 days later, and signing back in during that time cancels it. Letters you have already sent stay with the people who received them. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store and what deletion removes.
